ACCESS: Acquisition of Circular Behaviour in Elementary Schools
2022-1-CZ01-KA220-SCH-000088191 | Erasmus+ | 01/11/22 - 31/01/25
Why the ACCESS Project?
Climate change is driving extreme weather and rising temperatures worldwide. In response, the EU has committed to becoming climate-neutral by 2050. While major changes target businesses and organisations, everyday habits—like buying second-hand, repairing instead of replacing, composting, and recycling—also make a difference. These small, sustainable actions are known as circular behaviours and are essential for building a circular economy.
The ACCESS project supports elementary school educators in teaching these circular behaviours, helping to embed sustainability in early education and inspire the next generation.
What Can You Expect From Us?
The ACCESS project supports elementary school teachers by providing practical, ready-to-use tools that help introduce sustainability and circular behaviours into the classroom. Our goal is to make it easier for educators to raise awareness about climate change and empower young students to take meaningful, age-appropriate action. All resources are designed for use in both formal and informal curricula, and support teachers in delivering impactful, engaging lessons on the circular economy.
Here's what we have to offer:
- A Student Microcertification Learning Platform
An interactive platform where students can learn about the circular economy and earn microcertification badges, supported by a clear implementation guide for teachers.
- A Digital Library of 180+ Microlessons
A rich collection of short, flexible lessons complete with activities and customisable templates, making it easy to adapt the content to your classroom needs.
- A Circular Behaviour Teaching Toolkit
A comprehensive toolkit designed to help teachers guide their students in adopting sustainable habits that support the transition to a circular economy.
All these resources can be accessed for free at www.eco-bits.eu/access.
