About the Project

The Atlaas project focused on improving communication skills in foreign languages, one of the eight key competencies defined by the European Reference Framework. It aimed to enhance the ability of adult learners to understand, speak, read, and produce texts in foreign languages while enabling teachers and trainer to foster positive attitudes toward cultural diversity and intercultural communication. Recognising the essential role of language skills in facilitating mobility, employment, growth, and social participation across Europe, the project supported national and European strategies to promote language learning through Erasmus+ activities.

Project Outputs

The project produced a practical toolkit featuring innovative and effective foreign language teaching methods, accompanied by a comparative analysis to guide educators in selecting the best approaches for adult learners.  Additionally, the project will fostered a strong network of partners, improved language learning outcomes for adult learners, and strengthened the capacity and reputation of partner organisations to participate in future international initiatives.

Project Materials

All the materials created within this project are available to the public for free.

This practical toolkit offers language teachers a wide range of creative, communicative, and learner-centred methods tailored to adult learners. It includes step-by-step activities and strategies to overcome common challenges in adult language education.
