Beyond the Screen

Young people today live “onlife” – in a world where the line between online and offline life is blurred. This Youth Exchange offers participants the chance to explore how social media and digital technologies affect identity, emotions, and relationships. Instead of lectures, the programme uses non-formal methods such as interactive workshops, role plays, group discussions, creative media projects, and peer-to-peer learning. Together, participants critically examine online trends and influencers, share their own experiences, and co-create healthier digital habits for themselves and their peers.

This programme is designed for secondary school students and young people aged 14–18 who are active online and curious about how digital life impacts their wellbeing and relationships. It is open to diverse groups of young people from different countries, providing an intercultural space where participants can learn from one another’s perspectives and experiences.

• Greater emotional awareness and empathy when communicating online and offline.

• Stronger assertiveness and communication skills in digital interactions.

• Skills to critically evaluate online information, influencers, and media trends.

• Awareness of the digital footprint and practical strategies for healthier online habits.

• The ability to reflect on and balance their “onlife” identity in both personal and social contexts.

• Experience in intercultural teamwork by co-creating outputs such as group guidelines, creative campaigns, or media projects to inspire their peers back home.

Course fee: The price includes the course fee and all training materials. 

Individual subsistence costs: The price includes accommodation for the duration of the course (full board), all transportation within the Czech Republic, and any selected cultural activities.

Please note, the price does not include flight tickets to and from Prague.
