Digital storytelling is a creative way to share meaningful stories using digital tools. It typically involves combining a personal narrative with multimedia elements like images, audio, and video to produce a short, impactful film – often around two minutes long.
It’s an engaging method that builds both storytelling and digital skills. Whether working in groups or individually, learners are guided through a process that boosts confidence, encourages reflection, and supports self-expression.
In education, digital storytelling has been widely used to help students explore their professional identity, reflect on their experiences, and communicate complex ideas. It aids critical thinking, enhances digital literacy, and supports learners to become active creators of content, making it a powerful approach for 21st-century learning.
This course is designed for teachers and trainers who want to explore digital storytelling and learn how to apply it in their own lessons or training programmes. It’s ideal for educators looking to enrich their teaching with creative, reflective, and digitally enhanced approaches.
