What is this programme about?

Helping young people navigate emotions, communication, and digital life.

This 5-day course offers teachers practical strategies to support pre-adolescents in a world where uncertainty, digital influence, and emotional challenges are part of daily life. Drawing on evidence-based methods, the programme combines emotional literacy, communication skills, authenticity, role modelling, critical thinking, and the concept of “onlife” – the blended reality where offline and online worlds meet.

Teachers will learn how to create classrooms that strengthen young people’s resilience, foster empathy, and develop responsible digital citizens. The course moves step by step from understanding the self, through building healthy relationships, to navigating the complex digital environment.

Who is the programme for?

This course is designed for primary, secondary, and VET teachers who want to:

  • Support pre-adolescents’ social and emotional development,
  • Address challenges of social media and digital identity,
  • Strengthen their own communication and facilitation skills,
  • Create a more resilient, empathetic, and reflective learning environment.
What will you learn from this programme?

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Help students recognise, express, and regulate emotions in healthy ways
  • Strengthen classroom relationships through active listening, empathy, and assertive communication
  • Encourage students to explore authentic self-expression and reflect on personal values
  • Use powerful questions to promote curiosity, reflection, and deeper understanding.
  • Integrate positive role models into learning to inspire motivation and critical evaluation of influences
  • Guide students in managing their onlife reality, balancing digital and offline life, and protecting their well-being.
Why is this programme valuable?

The programme covers six interconnected areas of pre-adolescent development, and includes ready-to-use classroom activities reflective exercises and dialogue methods.
