About the Project

The TSEMY project (Training for Sustainable Employment of Youth and Young Adults) tackled the challenge of youth unemployment across Europe, with a specific focus on young people aged 20–29 who hold tertiary qualifications but remain unemployed. Many of these young adults face a mismatch between their academic background and the skills employers are seeking. TSEMY addressed this gap by developing tailored training that combines personal development, socio-professional skills, and digital tools to better prepare young people for the labour market. By fostering stronger links between training and real-world employment needs, the project aimed to promote sustainable employability and empower young adults to take active steps towards meaningful work.

Project Outputs

TSEMY produced a suite of resources to support the professional integration of young people with tertiary education. The project began with a comprehensive review of youth employment contexts and training needs across partner countries, which formed the basis for a structured training curriculum focused on personal, social, and employability skills such as communication, time management, and entrepreneurship.

The training was delivered through an interactive e-learning platform, supported by two methodological guides – one for trainers and one for trainees. These guides provide step-by-step support for delivering and engaging with the training programme, with a focus on motivation, practical application, and sustainable employment outcomes.
