Circular Economy for VET Teachers

A hands-on programme on teaching circular economy principles through vocational practice: maintenance, repair, reuse, smarter material choices, and designing out waste. Teachers learn how to build engaging learning tasks that connect directly to workshop routines and real products.

VET teachers and trainers across fields where materials, products, and processes matter (technical fields, services, hospitality, business, design).

By the end of the course, participants will have learned:

• How to explain circular economy concepts in simple, vocational language
• How to design workshop/classroom activities based on real objects and processes
• How to integrate repair, reuse, and life-cycle thinking into standard training tasks
• How to build student projects (audit, redesign, improvement proposals) with clear outputs
• How to evaluate learning through practical evidence rather than theory tests

It reduces preparation time while improving clarity and consistency. Teachers leave with reusable workflows, templates, and a ready-to-use lesson package aligned with VET practice.

Duration: 24 teaching hours – spread into 3 days.

Location: České Budějovice and/or Prague.

Language: The course will be held in English language.

Travel days: one day before and after the course term or according to the mutual agreement with the sending organisation.

Course fee: The price includes the course fee and all training materials. 

Individual subsistence costs: The price includes accommodation for the duration of the course (full board), all transportation within the Czech Republic, and any selected cultural activities.

Please note, the price does not include flight tickets to and from Prague.
